A truly international choir.
Vocal Core offers three choir groups with a maximum size of 23 singers per group.
There is and never will be an audition for Vocal Core Choir, as we believe every one can sing. You will be amazed how at the end of the semester, someone who has never sung in public before is singing in beautiful four part harmony at a live concert!
This small group size allows every one to appreciate each other’s voices and harmonies and allows the instructor to listen to your voice to help provide the best techniques to get your particular voice to soar!
Vocal Core created its own voice system so no more being referred to as tenor/bass/soprano, we use numbers instead to keep the language more inclusive for all our members, no matter how you identify!
There are 4 voice types in the choir and in your first session you will be allocated a harmony group which best suits your voice and your range!

Welcome to an international community of creatives.
Vocal Core choir has members from all around the world who proudly call Barcelona their home. Including Catalunya, Greece, Spain, France, Canada, the UK, Russia, Australia, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Brazil, and many more!
The sessions are taught in English, but thanks to the teaching method Vocal Core uses, language is NEVER a barrier.
Your instructor, Adam, speaks fluent Spanish and is currently studying Catalan, he could use the practise to be honest, so please embrace whichever language you feel most comfortable with. Music is of course, a universal language.
There is a strong sense of community at Vocal Core, we believe that artistic excellence can be achieved through a positive and safe learning environment. Where mistakes are celebrated and a growth mindset is utilised. Every single one of us is on a learning journey. We celebrate each other’s wins and let each other know when we did a good job!
Do I need to be able to read sheet music?
Nope!
Printed sheet music is provided (so you can escape those pesky digital screens each session) but the instructor will take you note-by-note, word-by-word, beat-by-beat, in a teaching method known as call and response.
Your group simply echoes back what is demonstrated.
The Project
Each semester, which is 12 weeks, leads to a live concert, Hope and Harmony, to raise money and awareness of a local charitable organisation here in Barcelona.
We always try to challenge and push the boundaries of what is expected of a choir concert, often featuring immersive and multi-media elements to produce unforgettable shows.
We never simply stand and sing, together, we build a show that feature movement and storytelling.
The show is a lucky byproduct of the 12 week course. You will get JUST as much out of the experience, regardless of whether you wish to partake in the final concert.
We cover on average 6 pop/rock songs per course, with an exclusive and original arrangement by Vocal Core. Expect to sing artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Rosalia, Chappell Roan, Ariana Grande, Bon Iver and many more!
It’s a great way to be introduced to new artists and fall back in love with classics.

-The full semester fee is only €159
-This cost covers your tuition, all of your printed sheet music, a folder to put them in and complimentary tea and mineral water every session.
